Dental Resource Company offers this Introductory Award in Dental Practice Management to enable practice managers to undertake a one-month course of study on which to base their decison to enrol for the full BTEC award .
About the Qualification
The aim of this one-month home learning programme is to help students to overcome barriers such as the feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of enrolling for a lengthy programme of formal study, when they have not studied formally since leaving school.
The programme can be taken as either a stand-alone first qualification, or because the introductory programme covers the first learning outcomes of the BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management, having achieved the introdctory course, this work can be accredited directly toward the full BTEC qualification.
The content of the Introductory Award course covers the development and definition of the management role in primary dental care. The programme aim to:
· Explore the factors influencing the development of the practice manger role
· Identify features of effective management performance
· Introduce management techniques and models
· Recognise the need for proactive and reactive management
As a result of this course managers will be able to:
· Develop the skills to play an effective role in the day-to-day practice management
· Apply a range of management techniques
· Adopt a proactive, solution-focused approach to practice management
